Guizhou Jingshi Chengtou promotes the development of education with big data technology

“Big Data” is a name card for Guizhou’s technology development. These days, how to make full use of the internet, big data and other emerging technologies to raise ecological awareness has been highlighted by the media. On July 11, the press corps of “Eco Forum Global Guiyang (EFG) 2021 Overseas Media Tour” visited Guizhou Jingshi Chengtou Smart Education Industry Company (hereinafter refers to as JSCT), aiming to explore how Guizhou utilizes big data and artificial intelligence (AI) to serve people in the field of education and help improve students’ overall quality.

The reporters come to JSCT Product Demonstration Center to learn more about products related to PBL (Project-Based Learning) in the future classrooms. On the spot, one of the workers presents the self-developed teaching software and introduces that students are able to search questions and learn how to solve the questions from the app. She also tells reporters that this software distinguishes itself from others by inspiring children to think step by step rather than offering answers directly. In this way, a real master of knowledge is achieved.

Reporters notice that, many core products of JSTC tend to focus on the improvement of students’ overall quality including aesthetic and physical education. Using AI technology to teach paintings or learn calligraphy is also part of it. In addition, AI is widely applied in physical education. On the one hand, it targets at schools and meet their demands for the “standardized room of sports entrance examination for senior high school”. Specifically, students’ sports data of long jump, long-distance running, basketball, rope skipping and other subjects can all be collected through information technology. Thus, reports easy to understand are acquired. On the other hand, it assists students at home. Children are guided to exercise and do physical education homework. Besides, it can devise targeted exercise programs and dietary suggestions based on the sports data of users.

Zhang Chongwu, sales director of JSCT, told reporters that the company had developed a whole set of physique monitoring system, which can not only help physical education teachers make more targeted training plans, but also create data reports based on students’ conditions. Through the active use of big data, a closed loop is formed to promote the physical health of primary and secondary school students.

Zhang Chongwu said that the company’s self-developed big data technology was dedicated to reducing the cost of education for the entire society. In pursuit of comprehensive education with high quality, it would like to offer everyone an opportunity to excel. He hopes the physique monitoring system could be more exposed to students in rural areas of Guizhou. In this way, it could do good to children’s physical fitness and sports performance. Meanwhile, rural teachers would be able to teach with higher efficiency. He believes that “this is the true value of big data”.
